PROSYS ANNOUNCES THE INTRODUCTION OF 2003 CE CERTIFIED 200 WATT 1MHz MICRODUO™ ELECTRONICS PACKAGE FOR USE WITH SINGLE WAFER TRANSDUCERS

The ProSys MicroDuo 200 Watt 1MHz RF amplifier and Micro Controller package was recently certified to 2003 CE standards and is shipping.

San Francisco, CA July 14, 2003 - ProSys Inc., the leader in advancing Megasonic transducer technology and products, today unveiled the ProSys MicroDuo 200 Watt 1MHz RF amplifier and Micro Controller package. The MicroDuo has full CE approval to 2003 standards.

"With the move towards single wafer processing in OEM tools, the need for Mega-Watts of power is not required and not cost effective. A low cost, highly reliable electronics package with controls sophisticated enough to give the process engineer repeatable control of the process parameters was needed," said Mark Beck, Founder and CEO of ProSys. "The adaptation of a single wafer transducer to an OEM’s tool requires that the electronics be capable of adjusting for varying mechanical parameters, and to maintain a constant power output."

The MicroDuo couples a Motorola ColdFire™ processor driven controller with patented software with a Class D/E 85% efficient RF amplifier to make the latest electronics package available in the industry. This package can tune and run any transducer. The controller is fully TCP/IP compatible and can be programmed with the new GUI front end PC based software.
