PROSYS ANNOUNCES THE INTRODUCTION OF THE 1MHz MICROPOWER VCO™ ELECTRONICS PACKAGE FOR USE WITH SINGLE WAFER TRANSDUCERS.

San Francisco, CA July 12, 2004 - ProSys Inc., the leader in advancing Megasonic cleaning technology and products, today unveiled the ProSys MicroPower VCO 200 Watt 1MHz RF amplifier.

"With the move towards single wafer processing in OEM tools, the need for Mega-Watts of power is not required and not cost effective. A low cost, highly reliable electronics package with controls sophisticated enough to give the process engineer repeatable control of the process parameters was needed." said Mark Beck, Founder and CEO of ProSys. "The adaptation of a single wafer transducer to an OEM’s tool requires that the electronics be capable of adjusting for varying mechanical parameters, and to maintain a constant power output."

The VCO Control circuitry dynamically changes the natural operating frequency of the transducer as the wafer spins and wobbles. The Amplifier can be set for “Real Power” mode to deliver a constant effective power to a transducer for improved wafer-to-wafer uniformity of process.
